City of Fort Saskatchewan Set to Beautify Downtown with the Community Downtown Clean-Up Day

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is proud to partner with Dow in hosting a community-focused Downtown Clean-Up event on April 26, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Downtown Core and Legacy Park.

Volunteers from the public, Dow, the Mayor, Councillors, and City staff will meet at 10:00 am in front of City Hall for opening remarks, group organization, and the distribution of cleaning supplies. The cleanup activities will start at 10:15 am, as volunteers work together to spruce up the area, demonstrating their pride in Fort Saskatchewan.

At noon, the event will conclude with a group photo to capture the spirit of the day and the weighing of the collected trash, highlighting the tangible impact of the community's efforts. Participants will then enjoy an outdoor lunch at 102nd Street next to the Downtown Public Pergola, celebrating the morning's achievements.

"This Downtown Clean-Up Day is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together as a community," said City of Fort Saskatchewan Mayor Gale Kathcur. "With Dow's involvement, we're not just cleaning up but strengthening bonds and reaffirming our commitment to a cleaner and more vibrant Fort Saskatchewan. This event showcases the spirit of cooperation and community pride our City is known for."

This initiative is a key part of Dow's #PullingOurWeight campaign and emphasizes the company's commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.
