Attend the 2024 Green Schools Conference (GSC) for renewed inspiration and viable solutions to further green, healthy and equitable schools and climate education.
In an inspiring keynote presentation to jump-start interdisciplinary education on March 6 at GSC, visual storyteller Matika Wilbur will share her experiences traveling Indian country. With a focus on equity with sustainable undertones, Wilbur's Project 562 depicts the 562 federally recognized Native American tribal communities and amplifies their historically silenced voices and stories through a collection of breathtaking images. This multiyear, national project celebrates Native American culture and life and counteracts the one-dimensional portrayals of Indigenous cultures presented in mainstream media.
Wilbur's presentation will complement the tangible solutions uncovered during workshops and summits at GSC the day before the keynote address, including:
