GCI’s Victor Esposito elected to Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers board of directors

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - GCI Vice President of Engineering Victor Esposito has been elected to the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) board of directors. SCTE, a subsidiary of CableLabs, has been a cable telecommunications leader for more than 50 years and is critical for the advancement of technology, standards and workforce education within the industry.

Including Esposito, SCTE and CableLabs jointly appointed and approved eight new members and the SCTE membership elected three vendor and three at-large members to round out the group of 14. Members represent a variety of telecommunication companies, including Charter Communication, Cox Communications, Comcast Communications, Rogers Communications, Mediacom, and more.

SCTE is a non-profit professional association for the advancement of technology, standards and workforce education related to cable telecommunications engineering. Founded in 1969 as The Society of Cable Television Engineers, SCTE and its global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), have a current membership of more than 19,000 individuals.
