To celebrate these great artists, songwriters & producers, TikTok launched #BehindTheSong, an evergreen hub for sharing the stories and processes that made some of the world's biggest hit songs come to life.

We are excited to announce that Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy Lifetime Achievement winner, producer, songwriter, composer arranger and guitarist Nile Rodgers (@nilerodgersandchic) is TikTok's latest #BehindTheSong featured songwriter.

Talking about the inspiration behind his music is nothing new for Nile Rodgers, who has been using TikTok to give his 140k followers a tour of his recording studio, announcing new partnershipsand sharing his favourite performances.

Nile Rodgerssaid: "I get hundreds of messages every month from people young and old that tell me they discovered 'Le Freak' or 'I Want Your Love', 'He's The Greatest Dancer','We Are Family', Everybody Dance', Get Lucky', Cuff It', 'Levii's Jeans' and so many others on TikTok. They are telling me how cool it is, so I love to make clips for them every time I get a chance, now being a part of #BehindTheSong gives me a chance to tell them all about the #deephiddenmeaning of these songs."

The legendary musician has already shared new videos taking fans #BehindTheSong for Get Lucky, his iconic collaboration with Daft Punk, and created an exclusive #BehindTheSong playlist for the TikTok Sounds page. The playlist features songs he's written over the years, including collaborations with David Bowie, Madonna and many more.

A spotlight on songwriters and producers

#BehindTheSong is a hub on TikTok for songwriters, producers and artists to showcase the journeys that have shaped and inspired their music. The hub has attracted over 377,000 posts, encouraging songwriters to share stories about their music-making process.

Since launch, it's become a home for some of the world's most inspiring songwriters and renowned musicians such as FINNEAS, Anne-Marie, RAYE, Djo, Fraser T Smith, Kamille,Paris Paloma, Lenny Kravitz and Laufey sharing how they created their unique sounds and globally renowned songs.
