What to expect at all Gundersen locations

To ensure the health and safety of patients, visitors and staff, we have the following processes in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Visit our COVID-19 page for more information.

  • Patients, support people and visitors must bring and wear a face covering even after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
    • Face coverings must be worn the entire time while in any of our locations and must completely cover the nose and mouth.
    • Support persons and visitors who cannot tolerate a face covering will not be allowed to accompany or visit a patient.
  • Everyone entering a Gundersen facility will be asked if they are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 such as new fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell or unexplained body aches.
  • Support persons, visitors or healthcare decision makers will not be permitted if they have had any of the following:
    • A diagnosis of COVID-19 in the last 10 days
    • Been exposed* to a known COVID-positive person within 14 days (*Exposure = within 6 feet, without masks for more than 15 minutes.)
    • Been under issued quarantine by the Health Department
  • All patients and visitors should allow at least six feet between themselves and other patients and visitors, even when wearing a face covering.
  • Entrances to Gundersen locations will continue to be limited to ensure appropriate patient and visitor screening.
