Construction on 25th Street begins on May 8

To improve safety and access for Western's planned House of Healing longhouse, which will be located at the south end of the Sehome Arboretum, roadway improvements on the portion of 25th Street between Bill McDonald Parkway and the House of Healing site will begin May 8. Construction is expected to continue through August. The construction work will add sidewalks and improve the road.

All parking along the road will be closed throughout construction. Lane closures will cause short delays, and flaggers will direct traffic around the construction area. The two southern-most pedestrian paths from Bill McDonald to 25th Street will be closed, but the northern-most path nearest the bus stop will remain open.

Vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists are encouraged to use South College Drive or Bill McDonald Parkway to avoid congestion and delays.
