The High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to the Republic of Malta, Patricia Chisanga Kondolo, paid a courtesy visit on the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, David Agius.

During the courtesy visit, the High Commissioner noted Malta's strong tourism activity and expressed her interest to work and exchange ideas with Malta to strengthen Zambia's tourism sector, among other sectors respective countries can offer.

Deputy Speaker Agius expressed interest in enhancing collaboration with Zambia, especially in the fields related to tourism, education and air connectivity.

The High Commissioner added that Zambia is known for its stability and for its good relations with the European Union, and as a result Zambia is engaged in a number of agreements with the European Union.

Deputy Speaker Agius expressed that he looks forward to strengthening parliamentary relations with Zambia through the establishment of the Malta-Zambia Parliamentary Friendship Group and closer collaboration within the Commonwealth and IPU.
