Right Honourable Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' held bilateral talks with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, this morning. Taking stock of the existing relations so cordially subsisting between Nepal and Qatar, both leaders discussed about enhancing bilateral cooperation by furthering the avenues of partnerships.
Following the talks, the Right Honourable Prime Minister and His Highness Amir witnessed a signing ceremony of bilateral Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). The signing of these documents has paved the way for further enhancing cooperation and collaboration between the two countries on important areas. The Agreements and MoUs concluded today include:
Two private sector Agreement/MoU were also signed between the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Qatar Chamber today.
The Right Honourable Prime Minister of Nepal hosted a Luncheon in the honour of His Highness the Amir of Qatar.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, departed for Doha in the afternoon after successfully concluding the two-day State Visit to Nepal.
The Right Honourable President Mr. Ramchandra Paudel bade farewell to His Highness the Amir at the VVIP bay of the Tribhuvan International Airport. The Right Honourable Vice-President Mr. Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, the Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', the Right Honourable Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Devraj Ghimire, Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Minister in Attendance Honourable Mr. Shakti Bahadur Basnet, and other high-ranking government officials were present on the occasion.
