Increased Traffic Enforcement on RM 620

In preparation for the Memorial Day holiday, the Lakeway Police Department along with numerous other area agencies including the Texas Department of Public Safety and Travis County Sheriff's Office will be increasing traffic enforcement on RM 620 from Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27, 2022. The agencies are coordinating efforts to reduce vehicle crashes, with a high emphasis on crash reduction and detection of unsafe and intoxicated drivers. Last year, Travis County Highway Patrol investigated 26 fatality crashes within the county.

Please practice safe driving habits by staying within the posted speed limits, eliminating distractions like texting or talking on your phone while driving, wearing a seat belt and avoiding aggressive driving habits.
