Youth Week set to soar this year

The City of South Perth joins the WA Government to celebrate Youth Week WA from 5 to 12 April.

This year's theme is Head, Body, Heart, inviting young people to reflect on their own experiences and the importance of self-care, caring for others, and nurturing the environment.

Youth Week promises to be an exciting time for those aged 10-25, with events and activities where they can forge new friendships, learn valuable skills, and positively impact the local community.

For young people aged between 12 and 25 years, the South Perth Youth Network is also encouraging new applications.

SPYN is an initiative designed to empower and engage young citizens in meaningful activities. Furthermore, SPYN members meet regularly with the City to weigh in on the issues that matter to them. Applications can be made online by visiting the South Perth Youth Network webpage.

This year's Youth Week events calendar includes free music festival NEON, painting and arts activities and mental wellbeing initiative Spill the Beans, which aims to connect young people with healthcare professionals and eachother in relaxed settings across the City.
