To open the FDCP leg of Cine Europa are screenings of Olmo, Le Variabili Dipendenti and Io Sto Bene from Italy-, Ramona from Spain, and the Irish film, Rớise and Frank, on 21 June.
To show the EU's solidarity with Ukraine, the film Moi dumky tykhi ("My thoughts are silent") will be shown. The plot follows a mother and son relationship when the son wants to move to a different country.
Other films that will be screened at the FDCP are Marocco ("Mikado") from Romania,and Srdce na Dlani ("Heart to Heart) from the Czech Republic.
On 24 and 25 June, enjoy outdoor screenings at the Liwasang Kalikasan at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The films to be shown here are:
Admission to the screenings is FREE on a first-come, first-served basis.
The EU brings 28 films from different EU Member States, as well as Ukraine as a guest participant. These films may be watched onsite in our venue partners nationwide until 16 July in Metro Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Davao.
Cine Europa 26 counts on the cooperation of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the National Parks and Development Committee, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Shangri-La Plaza and SM Cinemas.
The EU Delegation, the European Union Member States Embassies together with Goethe-Institut have carefully curated Cine Europa 26 with films with a wide spectrum of genres from drama to animation, to cater for every taste and interest.
