Intesa Sanpaolo Banka started issuing ECO cards

In the year when Intesa Sanpaolo Banka is marking its 15th jubilee it offers to its customers, as well as the BiH market, a range of new products and services that are innovative, but primarily highly beneficial for all users of products and services of this Bank. The Bank will continue introducing new innovations also by the end of this year when a number of novelties will be presented to facilitate everyday life of our customers.

Apart from innovations and new facilities for the customers, Intesa Sanpaolo Banka pays special attention to the local community where it operates, particularly to environmental aspects. In that regard, last year this Bank planted 5,000 new tree seedlings on behalf of its customers through its campaign Together for our Forests in Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Banja Luka and Mostar, and this campaign continues this year, too. In addition, the Bank initiated a special credit line My Eco Home in cooperation with EBRD for energy efficiency, providing customers 20 % return to their accounts. Guided by main principles of its operation Intesa Sanpaolo Banka is now making a step forward. Namely, due to a great problem with disposal of waste that most frequently and unfortunately, end up in rivers, on mountains or, generally in the nature, the Bank has decided to issue ecological (ECO) cards exclusively made of recycled material in the future.

"First payment cards of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka BiH made of recycled plastic are already available for Visa Debit Cards, while in the forthcoming time the recycled cards will be used for other payment cards offered by the Bank. New cards will contain the mark of Möbius loop meaning that they have been made of the recycled material. These cards of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka have been made of 99% recycled plastic. They are ECO cards that allow our customers not only to make deposits or withdrawals at the ATMs, but also to protect the nature. Being aware of the fact that an enormous number of cards is being issued throughout the year, we have decided to entirely focus to using recycled materials in our ESC strategy and thereby give our contribution to environmental protection, together with our customers. Noteworthy is that new recycled plastic cards will be of the same quality as the cards used before", said Ajla Čengić, Team Leader in the Mass Client Department of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka.

In the upcoming time Intesa Sanpaolo Banka intends to present to the market several innovative products and services, as well as new mobile banking functionalities and to work on broadening of ATM network with deposit-withdrawal ATMs, about which the customers and the general public will be timely informed via its marketing channels.
