Full performance capture, as well as motion capture - both are artistic performances and everyone's approach is different. For myself, I try to figure out what is the overarching theme, which is the emotional hook. That is the linchpin that defines everything that I do.

From heroes to villains, video game characters drive compelling narratives and make our favorite games engaging. But who is the talent behind the performances, what are the challenges they face, and what skills do they possess to become successful in this field?

The SAG-AFTRA podcast is joined by performance capture actor Noshir "Nosh" Dalal. Dalal has starred in Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Forbidden West and, most recently, in the Star Wars video game Jedi Survivor. He discusses with SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland his start in the industry and transition into performance capture, how his background and previous work informs his performances, and the current state of the industry for performance capture actors.
