Daines: Biden Administration Regulations on Power Plants Will Kill Jobs and Risk American Energy Security

"Today's Announcement Ensures No One Will Be Able to Charge Anything President Biden is Mandating We Use"

U.S. Senator Steve Daines issued the following statement today in response to the Biden administration EPA issuing four massive regulations that will effectively shut down traditional sources of energy across the country:

"Today's announcement from Biden's EPA will kill hundreds of thousands of jobs, risk American energy security and ensure no one will be able to charge anything President Biden is mandating we use, whether it be electric stoves, cars or semis," said Daines. "President Biden is forcing the country to move to electric power and is now killing the source of electric power, including Montana's own Colstrip Power Plant. Instead of learning from the failures of President Obama's illegal clean power plan, President Biden once again bowed to climate activists on the left and charged forward with reckless rules that will kill jobs and hurt our Montana communities and way of life. I call on Senate Democrats to join my Republican colleagues and overturn this assault on our energy security, jobs and freedom."
