Bonnie Heist named Resident Services Coordinator

Community Homes CEO Charlie Rush announces the hiring of Ms. Bonnie Heist as a full time Resident Services Coordinator. 'This was previously a part-time position, but the demand for services for our residents has reached a point where we need to provide them with full time help,' Rush says.
Ms. Heist's duties involves serving as an advocate for residents of Willow Terrace and Poplar Terrace, Lebanon, plus Tulpehocken Terrace in Myerstown (a total of 223 units) with a variety of responsibilities including assessing needs and developing /identifying appropriate programs. Providing resource information to residents, plus providing linkages for low-income residents.
Additionally, she -
· Provides on-going outreach services to help identify individuals who would benefit from the services. As needed, she recruits volunteers, and identifies program and service gaps.
· She also acts as a liaison to local human service providers and coordinates this activity.
· She also maintains all necessary information regarding services to residents.
Similar services for the other 'Terrace Properties' - Hill, Maple, and Oak - are under the supervision of Resident Services Director Jane Keller.
Bonnie Heist brings related experience to her new position. She previously worked at Keystone Human Services as a Program Administrator. She also gained experience at the ministry café at Calvary Chapel, Lebanon, where she worked with the inner-city population. She has an administration license (gerontology, mental health, medication administration) and has hundreds of hours of training at Penn State to her credit.
