Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and spouse departed for Australia

On 17 February 2024, H.E. General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and H.E. Mrs. Linda Hurley, spouse, departed for Australia. H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and spouse, represented the Royal Thai Government in bidding farewell to Their Excellencies at the Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai International Airport. Also presented were H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, and Mr. Nattapong Lathapipat, Acting Director-General of the Department of Protocol.

The Governor-General's Official visit reflects the close relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Commonwealth of Australia, from the highest level of the Thai Royal Family, the governmental as well as people-to-people ties. This Official Visit also provided an opportunity for Thailand and Australia to deepen mutual cooperation as Strategic Partners, particularly in the economic and socio-cultural areas.
