More growth for workforce management solutions practice: Team from ATEO to join Deloitte

22 MARCH 2024: Deloitte Australia is further strengthening its human capital and workforce management solutions offerings, with the team from technology specialists ATEO to join the firm's Consulting arm.

Based in Melbourne, and with a presence in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra, ATEO provides solutions to clients across the consumer products, retail, wholesale, logistics and healthcare sectors.

The move follows the team from HR and payroll management specialist Enforce Consulting adding to Deloitte's human capital consulting team in mid-2023.

Founder of ATEO, and what has grown into a 39-strong team, Scott Gavens, will become a Deloitte Consulting partner.

Deloitte Consulting Managing Partner, Ellen Derrick, said: "Getting workforce management right is a critical part of business transformation, in terms of investment, managing risk and delivering opportunity and value.

"We continue to build a strong human capital consulting footprint and deep specialisation across multiple technology platforms.

"The arrival of the team from ATEO represents another important growth investment for our firm, and further strengthens our ability to deliver proven technology-driven solutions for our clients.

"Deloitte Human Capital Consulting partner, Glen Detering, said: "Deloitte has a deep understanding of the workforce challenges facing Australian businesses.

"This is built on making a market-leading portfolio of leading-edge, human resources, workforce management and payroll technology solutions available to our clients.

"The ATEO team specialises in providing practical, end-to-end advisory and implementation services that support critical business transformation needs across workforce strategy, system automation, cost optimisation, enabling entitlement compliance, risk mitigation, reporting and transparency.

"Their arrival will further strengthen our market position as a leading human resources, workforce management and payroll technology services provider."

ATEO founder, and soon-to-be Deloitte Consulting partner, Scott Gavens, said: "This is an exciting move for our ATEO team.

"We pride ourselves on our out-of-the-box problem-solving expertise and ability to deliver high quality, tailored, easy-to-use workforce management solutions.

"In a short time, we have built a great and well-regarded business. Now, we are now looking forward to joining Deloitte Australia and becoming an integral part of what is clearly a strong, market-leading and client-focused workforce management and optimisation team."

The ATEO team will formally join Deloitte on 1 April 2024. Terms of the transaction are confidential.
