Resurfacing Project to Begin Tomorrow on Route 706 and Route 467 in Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a resurfacing project will begin tomorrow on Route 706 (Taylor Avenue) between Pearl Street in Wyalusing Borough and Route 1004 (Turkey Path Run) Wyalusing Township and Route 467 (Main Street) between a half mile southeast of Hutchinson Boulevard /The Goose Road (T-622) in Pike Township and Davis Road (T-895) in LeRaysville Borough, Bradford County.

On Friday, August 4, the contractor will be performing strip sealing on Route 706. Motorists can expect lane restrictions with flagging where work is being performed.

On Monday, August 7, 2023, through Friday, August 11, 2023, the contractor will be performing line painting on Route 706. Motorists can expect slow traffic where work is being performed.

Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor for this $1.7 million resurfacing project. Work includes tree trimming, milling and paving of the roadway, guide rail and sign upgrade, and preservation of two bridge decks, the bridge carrying Route 706 over Brewer Creek and over the Wyalusing Creek in Wyalusing Township. Work on this project is expected to be completed by August 2023, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays, watch for stopped traffic, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
