(Alexandria, Va) - Reflecting on the experience of the hospice and palliative care provider community throughout the course of the past year's global pandemic, the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization's board has issued a statement for providers, Allocation of Scare Resources During a Pandemic.
This document is designed as a resource for hospice and palliative care leaders and their organizations when facing future resource allocation decisions. One of the most difficult ethical questions in health care is the fair allocation of scare resources.
