Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Herring Bay Outfall

PROJECT NAME: ADL 106192

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Herring Bay in Ketchikan, Alaska; more specifically 9.25 miles southeast of the Ketchikan International Airport.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: CRM075S091E36 Metes and bounds description within Section 36, Township 75 South, Range 91 East, Copper River Meridian, containing approximately 0.310 acres. 55.3264 N 131.5226 W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: On May 24th, 2022, Herring Bay Outfall submitted an application to DMLW for the renewal of an existing easement that has been in place since 1996. The easement consists of a marine outfall wastewater line measuring approximately 670-feet x 20-feet. The easement contains a 20-foot width, while the diameter of the pipe is approximately 6-inches.

REQUESTED TERM: 25 years

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 21st, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
