Consumer Alert on http://mevtrade.com

The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) is issuing this consumer alert regarding the website http://mevtrade.com .

Fraudsters have recently been using this website falsely claiming it to be that of The Badger Technology Company Limited (Bitso), a GFSC authorised firm and purporting to offer Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), specifically an exchange service for various cryptocurrencies.

This false website uses the name and logo of the GFSC authorised firm, Bitso, and this website is not the genuine website of the firm. We understand that those behind this false website have contacted people via messaging apps falsely claiming to being from Bitso.

Bitso makes it clear that this website http://mevtrade.com is not in any way associated with the activities of Bitso, a firm legally registered in Gibraltar.

Companies and individuals carrying out financial services activities in Gibraltar have to be authorised by the GFSC. The website http://mevtrade.com is not of any firm authorised by the GFSC.
