Yläkaupungin Yö takes place on 17.-19.5.2024 - applications are now open!

Yläkaupungin Yö, which is held annually in the surroundings of Jyväskyläs Yläkaupunki, Älylä and Seminaarinmäki is a city festival run mainly by volunteers. It is a free event, planned, organized, and carried out by a wide range of volunteers. Feel free to participate.
The Semmarit have also performed at the Yläkaupungin Yö.

The festival's multi-art program in recent years has included dance, theater, movies, performances, lectures, visual arts, live music, word art, workshops, programs for children, games and exercise. In Yläkaupungin Yö we have seen up to about 200 performances at 50 different venues, and in may, the city festival is visited by 30,000 to 50,000 visitors yearly. Yläkaupungin Yö provides a showcase for numerous performers, groups and organizations in various art forms, revitalizing urban culture and the region's economy.

Applications for performers, volunteers, and marketplace stallholders are now open! If you wish to perform in this year's festival, help with the festival's production, sell your products, or introduce your organization to new people, fill the form.

IMPORTANT: if you are participating in the programme within your own faculty, department or other unit within JYU, please indicate "JYU" in the text box under "additional information on the performance for our production team"This will enable us to better identify the total number of programmes produced within the university.

The event producer will assist with completing the application form and any other questions that may arise.

Please inform programme by 5.4.2024 at the latest.
