International Investment Position of Georgia

The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to -30.0 billion USD (-80.8 billion GEL) at the end of 2023, accounting for -98.3 percent of annual GDP (the same item for September 30 2023, accounted -98.4 percent). Net IIP deteriorated by 663.7 million USD compared to the previous quarter.

International assets totaled 15.9 billion USD (42.7 billion GEL) by December 31 2023, increased by 382.2 million USD compared to the previous quarter.

Liabilities increased by 1.0 billion USD during the quarter totaling 45.9 billion USD (123.4 billion GEL).
