Durbin Talks DACA With Google CEO

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) today spoke by phone with Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai about a range of policy issues including Dreamers employed by Google, the importance of immigration reform, tech industry matters, and efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

'My conversation with Google CEO Sundar Pichai today was productive and offered a chance to exchange views about a range of issues important to the technology sector,' said Durbin. 'I also thanked Mr. Pichai for his advocacy for immigrants, including his employees who are enrolled in DACA, and the importance of ensuring there's a clear pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.'
