BCPP grows after three previous declines

Prague, April 29 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) headed up today after three previous declines and the PX index closed 0.47 percent higher at 1,550.68 points, the bourse said on its website.

Most listings were doing well, and drone maker Primoco UAV grew the most, its shares going up by 5 percent to Kc945 apiece.

Eight of the 11 issues affecting the value of the PX index closed in the black, while two listings lost ground and shares of metallurgical firm Gevorkyan were stagnant.

"The trading volume was above average, at around Kc540m," said Wood & Company broker Vladimir Vavra.

In terms of sales volumes, Austrian insurer VIG and energy group CEZ had a greater impact on the index development than the best performer, Primoco UAV.

VIG firmed by 1.65 percent to Kc740 per share and CEZ gained 1.17 percent to Kc864.50 apiece.

Among banks, Komercni banka improved by 0.35 percent to Kc865. Austria's Erste Bank, on the other hand, lost 0.76 percent to Kc1,107.50 per share.

Beverage maker Kofola closed trading at Kc270 apiece after a 0.74 percent drop.
