Since 19 November, a cyclone has been raging over the territory of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel and Tambov regions, accompanied by gusty winds, freezing rain, sleet, zero crossing and ice phenomena.
As a result of unfavourable weather conditions, emergency power outages occurred in a number of settlements. Employees of Belgorodenergo, Bryanskenergo, Voronezhenergo, Kurskenergo, Lipetskenergo, Orelenergo and Tambovenergo were mobilized in advance and provided with all the necessary forces and means to eliminate technological violations.
According to weather forecasts, bad weather will continue until 23 November and spread to other areas. In connection with this decision of the Headquarters, Kalugaenergo, Tulenergo, Ryazanenergo, Vladimirenergo, Nizhnovenergo have also been transferred to a special mode of operation.
The head of the companies instructed the heads of the branches to suspend planned work, alert mobile emergency recovery crews, constantly monitor the operational situation in the service area of the Company's branches and organize interaction with the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, with the Headquarters of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and municipal authorities.
"Power engineers constantly have to deal with emergency situations. Well-established logistics and information exchange, as well as interaction with regional authorities, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipalities, allow us to mobilize all the necessary forces and means in a timely manner and promptly respond to any challenges in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers," Igor Makovskiy emphasized.
