New bike routes being planned as part of CentrePlan 2050
Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg invites Winnipeggers to have their say on new bike routes being planned for Downtown Winnipeg. The new routes are expected to improve connectivity to, from, and within the downtown.

These new bike routes are being planned as part of the second phase of CentrePlan 2050, which is a new long-term plan being developed for Downtown Winnipeg. CentrePlan 2050 will help transform what Downtown looks like, how we get around, and how we experience the area, with the goal of getting more people living and visiting Downtown.

The City is looking for feedback on options for two specific bike routes along the following streets:

  • St. Mary Avenue and York Avenue
  • Notre Dame Avenue and Cumberland Avenue

Residents are invited to provide their feedback on the details of these new proposed bike routes by taking an online survey, adding a pin and comments to an interactive map, or participating in a virtual event to learn more about the new routes, speak with the project team, and provide their input.

The online survey and interactive map can be found at winnipeg.ca/centreplan2050until February 16, 2024.

Information on the open house and further details on the project are also available at winnipeg.ca/centreplan2050.
