Free Sand and Empty Sandbags Available
In preparation for the potential heavy rains and flooding from the approaching tropical storm, the City of Richmond Hill is providing sand for residents to fill their own sandbags at the former GDOT lot on Timber Trail, near Port Drive. Please remember to bring your own shovels.
Additionally, a limited supply of empty sandbags (5 per household at this time) is available at Richmond Hill Fire DepartmentStation 2, located at 722 Timber Trail, on a first-come, first-served basis. We anticipate receiving another batch by tomorrow. Sandbags are also available for purchase through local retailers.
