D-4 Officers Recovered 32 grams of Crack Cocaine

At about 10:13 PM, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Jodi Faria, 41, of Billerica, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street and were advised by the District D-4 front desk officer, that a victim filed a report for a stolen scooter, and it was tracking in the area.

Officers observed a female suspect operating a scooter and when they approached her, she attempted to flee from officers by driving onto the sidewalk. Officers broadcasted a description of the suspect, and observed the suspect in the area of 650 Albany Street.

Officers were able to stop the suspect and placed her into handcuffs. As officers searched the suspect, they recovered a large plastic bag containing what they believed to be crack cocaine. It was later determined that the crack cocaine weighed approximately 32 grams.

Faria was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking of class B, possession with intent to distribute class B, and possession of class B. She is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
