Meet Isabel Tan

In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 7, 2024, Cosumnes CSD is recognizing student athlete Isabel Tan. From her early days at Cosumnes CSD's recreation leagues to dominating with club teams like Lobos and Sacramento Fury, Isabel's journey has been nothing short of impressive.

Now a senior at Cosumnes Oaks High School, Isabel has spent four incredible years as a varsity basketball player. As team captain, she boasts a stellar 4.45 GPA, proving that she excels both on and off the court. While the current season is still underway, she is likely to become the only three-time Delta League Player of the Year and is likely to three-peat as an all-metro team member as selected by the Sacramento Bee.

Isabel has already broken numerous records in her young basketball career. She scored 46 points in a single game, 594 points last season, and has currently scored 1,537 career points (and counting). She also holds the record for the most 3-pointers made in a game, which is 12, and she has achieved this feat twice. Isabel made 148 3-pointers last season and has made 360 in her career so far. She currently leads the Division 1 Delta League in scoring, 3-point shooting, assists, steals, and free throw percentage. In 2023, she led the nation in making 3-pointers per game, and this season, she is in the top 4 in that same category nationally while taking significant on-ball pressure. Isabel has scored 20 or more points on 30 occasions, including scoring 40 and 46 points, shooting nearly 40% in her high school career.

Beyond her athletic prowess, Isabel is a true leader, hard worker, and role model for aspiring athletes in our region. Active in her church and youth group, she's known for her humility and dedication.

Cosumnes CSD and its Board of Directors are extremely proud of Isabel Tan and her ability to inspire others to build a healthy and active lifestyle. Isabel's work has also instilled a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth among those who participate in recreational sports. We applaud her for her dedication to making a positive impact on our community.
