Community Partnership Grant Awards Announced

33 Nonprofit Organizations to Receive Funding

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater today announced $1.2 million in awards to 33 local nonprofit organizations through the county's Community Partnership Grant program. Grants support one of five priorities: Housing Initiatives; Addressing Homelessness and Housing Insecurity; Quality of Life; Health and Human Services; and Support Arts and the Creative Economy. Funds will provide food to children; emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence; job skills and education for youth without stable housing; services for residents facing addiction, and more. County Council President Brad Young and Vice President Kavonté Duckett joined Executive Fitzwater to unveil the list of grant recipients.

"Our nonprofit organizations make a meaningful impact on the people of Frederick County," County Executive Fitzwater said. "I am excited that we can partner with them through this grant process, resulting in an incredible return on investment for our community. Together, we make it possible for more people to thrive."

Local nonprofit organizations applied for a total of 54 grants requesting over $3 million. Independent review panels made recommendations to the County Executive. A full list of the grantees is available online at http://www.frederickcountymd.gov/CPGawardsFY25.
