The UMass Amherst Libraries invite the campus community to the annual Edible Book Festival, from noon-4 p.m. on April 1, where culinary creations based on literature are judged - and then eaten.

The event will be held in the RECESS space on the south side of the second floor of the W. E. B. Du Bois Library. All visitors to the Library are invited to view the entries from noon - 2 p.m. and cast a vote for Best in Show. Winners will be announced at 2 p.m., followed by the eating of the entries.

Those interested in submitting an entry to the event must complete the submission form by 11:55 p.m. Sunday, March 31, and the entries must be brought to the RECESS space on between 10 a.m. - noon on April 1. Award categories on which entries will be judged by a select panel include Best Visual Presentation, Funniest/Punniest and Most Creative Use of Ingredients. Best in Show will be selected based on the popular vote of all those in attendance.

More information, including the complete entry rules, can be found on the Libraries website.
