City to Hold Community Input Sessions and Open House for Impact Fees

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi Development Services Department will hold a series of community input sessions to discuss impact fees for roadways, water, wastewater, and storm water as part of the Master Plan and Impact Fee Project.

The sessions will be held in each Council district. The community is invited to attend any of the open houses to give feedback on the impact fees. City staff and experts will be available to answer questions. Council Members may attend each input session.

All sessions are from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The meetings will take place on the following dates:

  • District 1: Thursday, June 13 at Owen Hopkins Library - 3202 McKinzie Road
  • District 2: Thursday, May 16, at Lindale Senior Center - 3135 Swantner Drive
  • District 3: Thursday, June 06 at Corpus Christi Water Building - Choke Canyon Room, 2726 Holly Road
  • District 4: Thursday, May 23, at Ethel Eyerly Senior Center - 654 Graham Road
  • District 5: Thursday, May 02 at Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Library - 5930 Brockhampton Street

"By participating in community input sessions, residents play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of our city," said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. "Their insight is integral to the decision-making process as we continue to be inclusive of the community."

The City Council adopted the Master Plans and their associated Capital Improvement Projects in January, and impact fees are scheduled to go before the Council in July for consideration or adoption.
