Xhaçka: Albanians factor of stability and a guarantee for the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the region

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla launched the first edition of the competition "Colours of Albanians".

Minister Xhaçka emphasized that this initiative is a very good opportunity to show the true colours of Albanians, to convey a common image around the world.

"Albania is today close to open negotiations with EU, and soon will sit in the UN Security Council. Albania's role in the region today is more significant than ever, and more than ever Albanians are seen today as a factor of stability and as a guarantee for the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the region. These achievements of Albania are undoubtedly a very positive development for Kosovo because a stronger and more respected Albania is an Albania that can do more for Kosovo", said the minister during her speech.

On the other hand, Minister Gërvalla added that "Colours of Albanians" is an initiative open to Kosovo, for all Albanians surrounding the two countries, as well as for those who come from the diaspora.

The competition "Colours of Albanians" is organized for the first time by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo.

Anyone who wants to be part of the competition can simply post a photo or video from everyday life, a trip, an experience in Albania or Kosovo on their Instagram profile, using the hashtag #ColoursofAlbanians.

The winning photos will become part of a final booklet which will be distributed worldwide, by the embassies of the two countries.
