On April 25, 2024, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. ("Berkshire") issued (i) ¥169,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 0.974% Senior Notes due 2027, (ii) ¥22,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 1.143% Senior Notes due 2029, (iii) ¥5,200,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 1.287% Senior Notes due 2030, (iv) ¥35,300,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 1.457% Senior Notes due 2031, (v) ¥9,500,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 1.680% Senior Notes due 2034, (vi) ¥7,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 2.278% Senior Notes due 2044, and (vii) ¥15,300,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 2.498% Senior Notes due 2054 ((i) through (vii) collectively, the "Notes") under a registration statement on Form S-3under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act"), filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Commission") on January 28, 2022 (Registration No. 333-262384)(the "Registration Statement"). The Notes were sold pursuant to an underwriting agreement entered into on April 18, 2024, by and among (a) Berkshire and (b) Merrill Lynch International and Mizuho Securities USA LLC.

The Notes were issued under an Indenture, dated as of January 28, 2022, by and among Berkshire, Berkshire Hathaway Finance Corporation and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A. (the "Indenture") and (i) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 0.974% Senior Notes due 2027 (the "2027 Notes Officers' Certificate"), (ii) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 1.143% Senior Notes due 2029 (the "2029 Notes Officers' Certificate"), (iii) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 1.287% Senior Notes due 2030 (the "2030 Notes Officers' Certificate"), (iv) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 1.457% Senior Notes due 2031 (the "2031 Notes Officers' Certificate"), (v) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 1.680% Senior Notes due 2034 (the "2034 Notes Officers' Certificate"), (vi) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 2.278% Senior Notes due 2044 (the "2044 Notes Officers' Certificate") and (vii) an officers' certificate dated as of April 25, 2024 by Berkshire with respect to its 2.498% Senior Notes due 2054 (the "2054 Notes Officers' Certificate") ((i) through (vii) collectively, the "Officers' Certificates").
