Tiffin University’s Diane Kidd Gallery to Host “TU Through the Years, 135th Anniversary” Exhibit

Tiffin University celebrates the institution's rich history with the exhibit, "TU Through the Years, 135th Anniversary." The exhibit will be on view at the Diane Kidd Gallery through May 6 and offers a look into the university's history, focusing on student life, past presidents and campus culture.

The exhibit features a curated selection of available artifacts from the university archives including photographs, documents and memorabilia. These artifacts will provide a historical journey into student experiences, academic pursuits and extracurricular activities throughout the decades. Visitors can also explore the contributions of past presidents through displayed materials, gaining an understanding of their leadership and impact on the university's development. At its core, the exhibit celebrates TU's diverse campus culture, highlighting traditions and community engagement over time.

In commemoration of this milestone, Dr. Michael Goodnough, Associate Professor of History, will present a lecture on Tiffin University's founding and significant milestones. The lecture will be held in TU's Chisholm Auditorium located in Franks Hall on Friday, April 19 from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by a reception at the gallery where light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

The Diane Kidd Gallery invites visitors to explore its collection during the weekend of April 19 through 21, from 12 to 4 p.m., as part of the "Be a Tourist in Your Own Town Experience." This initiative, sponsored by Destination Seneca County in collaboration with the Seneca County Bicentennial Committee, offers an opportunity to discover local treasures and celebrate our community's heritage.
