Chocolate captures the imagination. But why is chocolate so intriguing? And how has it played into both folklore and history? From chocolate being used as money in the cultures that revered it, to 16th century chocolate houses providing gathering places to exchange revolutionary ideas, to the modern craft chocolate movement itself, chocolate has impacted the world more widely than you may imagine. In this session, yauthor Amber Royer will share stories of some of the more interesting moments in the history and lore of chocolate. The session will include a chocolate tasting, with a worksheet for you to record flavor notes.
