M-93, County Road 612 bridge work over I-75 starts April 1

GAYLORD, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $4.6 million to repair the M-93 and County Road (CR) 612 bridges over I-75 in Crawford County. Work includes substructure repairs, bridge deck resurfacing, deck patching, joint repairs, epoxy sealing, and approach repairs.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require lane closures on I-75, with one lane of northbound and southbound maintained until May 22. Starting April 1, traffic will be maintained using the on and off ramps at the M-93 (Exit 259). Starting April 8, traffic will be maintained using the on and off ramps at the CR 612 (Exit 264).

From May 29 to July 2, the CR 612 bridge will be closed. Eastbound CR 612 traffic will be detoured south on I-75 to M-93 (Exit 259) and back north on I-75. Westbound CR 612 traffic will be detoured north on I-75 to Waters (Exit 270) and back south on I-75.

From July 9 to Aug. 29, the M-93 bridge will be closed. Eastbound M-93 traffic will be detoured south on I-75 to North Down River Road (Exit 256) and back north on I-75. Westbound M-93 traffic will be detoured north on I-75 to CR 612 (Exit 264) and back south on I-75.

Other work on the bridges will require intermittent lane closures with temporary traffic signals and traffic regulators.
