Residents at Stockland Highlands, a masterplanned community located in Craigieburn, 30 kilometres north of Melbourne's CBD, recently celebrated Eid Al-Fitr, the Islamic festival marking the end of Ramadan.

The event welcomed around 300 residents and the wider community to Highlands Lake Park and Playground to enjoy food, live entertainment and dancers, face-painting and a DJ.

Stockland Development Director, James Hawkersaid it was great to see the community come together and celebrate at Highlands.

"As a leading creator and curator of connected communities, we are building on our legacy, creating places and spaces full of energy, soul and life for our diverse communities. We know community events are important to our residents, and events like this celebrate the diversity in our local community," Mr Hawker said.

"Stockland takes pride in bringing people together. Alongside celebrating Eid Al-Fitr with residents, we've also hosted a number of other events at Highlands including Christmas, Diwali, and Easter. It's been great to see the community so involved, and we look forward to connecting with our residents at more events throughout the year."

Stockland Highlands is an established, award-winning community in Craigieburn and has recently expanded into Mickleham. The community is currently home to nearly 30,000 residents, with easy access to schools, shops, and transport links, as well as a number of quality sporting facilities and open, green space.
