Join the Department of Natural Resources & the newly-formed Invasive Species Management Committee on Saturday, May 11th from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM for their first community invasive species management event. We will be pulling non-native invasive plants that are harming the natural ecosystem, then planting & seeding with native species. Work will be in upland along a portion of Fenno St. and the trail system. Restoring this sensitive area helps the adjacent salt marsh too!
Meet on Fenno St. at entrance to the Salt Marsh Trail/Sailors' Home Cemetery.
*No experience is necessary & all ages are welcome!
*Please bring gloves & tools if you have them, otherwise you can borrow our supplies for the event.
