DEZHOU, Aug. 7 - A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit Dezhou, East China's Shandong province, at 2:33 a.m. on August 6. After that, the Dezhou Military Sub-command immediately organized troops and militia to the affected areas at 3:36 am to carry out post-earthquake damage screening and disposal.
By 6:00 pm, August 6, a total of 23 persons had been found injured and 165 houses damaged in the earthquake. At present, infrastructure facilities of water, electricity, telecommunications, etc. remain in normal operation, rescue forces and disaster relief materials are sufficient, and the production and living order of the city maintains stable.
