SCDOT to replace Hammett Grove Road bridge in Cherokee County

Columbia, S.C.(May 2, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and replace the Hammett Grove Road bridge in Cherokee County beginning May 9. Construction is anticipated to be complete by winter of this year.

Hammett Grove Road will be closed at the bridge site during construction and traffic will be detoured using Cowpens Pacolet Road. Please note that Hammett Grove Road will be open to local traffic only except at the bridge site. A copy of the detour map can be found below.
