Lincoln Police Investigating Stabbing | 1300 block N 27th Street

Lincoln Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred in the alley, near a convenience store, on N 27th Street. On July 1, 2022, at 8:57 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of N 27th Street regarding a male who had been stabbed. The caller heard yelling and went towards the area where the victim was discovered with serious injuries. The victim, a 26-year-old Lincoln resident, was found with an obvious stab wound. The arriving officers attempted life saving measures. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

A witness observed the victim and the male suspect involved in an altercation over a bicycle in front of the store. The suspect was known to the victim. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

This remains an active investigation. LPD investigators are working diligently to locate the suspect as well as continuing to gather physical evidence, examine available video and conducting interviews. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 402.441.6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402.475.3600.
