VIDEO: Chancellor Milliken Speaks at ASU+GSV Summit

AUSTIN, TEXAS - The University of Texas System Chancellor James B. Milliken this week participated in the ASU+GSV Summit where he joined Coursera CEO Jeff Maggioncalda in a panel moderated by Arizona State University Special Advisor Jeff Selingo about the successes and future potential of credentialing in higher education. The panel was titled: "Texas Tea: Transforming Higher Ed with Workforce Microcredentials.

In the panel, they discussed several issues related to microcredential efforts in higher education, with Chancellor Milliken highlighting the UT System's expanding partnership with Coursera to provide broad access to microcredential courses that help students and alumni enhance their skill sets and maximize their job prospects.

Chancellor Milliken also addressed confidence in higher education, pointing out the potential for microcredentials to keep costs down while offering an innovative and effective means to maximize the value of a degree.
