FOOTY’S BACK AND WITH IT COMES A NEW SEASON OF LiSTNR ORIGINAL PODCAST 2 GUYS 1 CUP WITH WIL ANDERSON AND CHARLIE CLAUSEN

LiSTNR today announced comedian Wil Anderson and actor and writer Charlie Clausen are returning with a seventh season of their comedy podcast 2 Guys 1 Cup, just in time for the start of the 2023 AFL season.

2 Guys 1 Cup, available exclusively on LiSTNR, is a comedy show that discusses the week's AFL news, albeit with more laughs than actual footy talk. It is the go-to podcast for footy fans who want to hear the silly banter between two long-time mates, rather than serious footy analysis. In a world of footy experts, this is your non-expert opinion of the great game, from the point of view of two footy tragics.

The first episode of 2023, which is now live, includes a hilarious encounter that Wil had with the Brisbane Lions and their coach Chris Fagan, a deep dive into some commentary from Brian Taylor during which he made the bold statement "it's so good, you just want to kiss it" and a hardcore analysis of Bulldogs' coach Luke Beveridge and his 'new look' for the 2023 season.

Wil Anderson said: "There's plenty of footy podcasts you can listen to for expert commentary, but only one that routinely gets even the basics wrong, and I think that really sets us apart from the competition. We're likely to forget who is still playing, who has retired and the coaches' names. Plus, we still don't know who Jake Lloyd is, but apparently, he plays for Sydney."

Charlie Clausen added: "If any good can come from the return of 2 Guys 1 Cup, it's that footy's back and we can start ignoring our loved ones on the weekends again. There will be discussions about players' haircuts and socks, and we can't rule out the possibility that there will be impressions of Mark LeCras that manage to be both wildly inaccurate and borderline offensive."
