Lunch & Learn: Is planting trees the answer to climate change?

What: Keep Port St. Beautiful invites residents and community members to attend a free Lunch & Learn session focusing on climate change and trees.

Florida Forest Service Senior Forester Calin Ionita will discuss the environmental benefits of trees and their affect on climate change. The session also will help attendees understand the causes of global warming and how to achieve a sustainable future.

When: Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Preregistration is required. Space is limited. Email [email protected] or call 772-871-5103. Free lunch will be provided by Mission BBQ.

Where: Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, 2410 SE Westmoreland Blvd.

Why: Lunch & Learns are held once per quarter to help residents better understand how to improve the environment. Lunch is also provided. This event is hosted by Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful in partnership with the Botanical Gardens as venue host and guest speaker, Calin Ionita.
