Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a portion of Route 284 will be closed next week in Pine Township, Lycoming County, to collect core borings.

On Monday, March 18, 2024 through Friday, March 22, 2024, Route 284 will be closed between Route 287 and the Route 15 interchange at Buttonwood while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew collects core borings from the bridge that carries Route 284 over Blacks Creek.

A detour using Route 15, Route 184 and Route 287 will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Local traffic only will be able to access the road on either side of the bridge over Blacks Creek.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
