Fresno Unified Publishes Spring Edition of “Faces of Fresno Unified” Digital Magazine

The spring 2024 edition of the "Faces of Fresno Unified" digital magazine is available, featuring exemplary and inspiring students, staff, alumni and community members and highlighting Fresno Unified's Excellence in Education winners. In this edition, read about:

• Michael Robinson, a teacher on special assignment leading literacy instruction at Terronez Middle School who says, "education saved me and I want to save future generations." He is the Middle School Educator of the Year for Fresno Unified.

• Second-grader Brenda Xiong (on the cover), who is in the Hmong dual immersion language program at Vang Pao Elementary School and now able to converse with her grandparents.

• Oscar Rodriguez, a former gang member who opened a neighborhood park near Webster Elementary School and works with the campus on how to best support students.

"The spring edition of the 'Faces' magazine once again showcases our inspiring Fresno Unified family, with every page unfolding a narrative of passion, growth and success," said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
