Monroe County: Construction update

The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Monroe County. All outlined work is weather permitting. Click each route to see its location at OHGO.com.


STATE ROUTE 7 PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION
A pavement removal and reconstruction project begins on May 13 on SR 7 between Barnes Run Road and SR 800. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times; however, it will be shifted to the shoulders.
Estimated Completion: November 1

STATE ROUTE 255 LANDSLIDE
One lane of SR 255 is closed between Township Road 434 and Benwood Road due to a landslide. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals.
Estimated Completion: May 31


STATE ROUTE 26 TREE TRIMMING

A tree trimming project is taking place on SR 26, between Gallaher Road and the Monroe County Airport. The road is closed from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

COUNTY ROAD 29 RESURFACING PROJECT
A resurfacing project begins on May 13 on County Road 29, between SR 78 and Township Road 156. The road will be closed from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
Estimated Completion: May 27


MONROE COUNTY GUARDRAIL REPAIR PROJECT
A guardrail repair project is taking place in various sections on the following routes in Monroe County: SR 26, SR 78, SR 145, SR 536, SR 537, and SR 800. One lane is closed and temporary traffic signals are in place where work is occurring.
