Traffic control measures will be in place on Suey Creek Road as Earth Systems, a consultant for the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works, performs geotechnical investigations adjacent to the bridge on Suey Creek Road approximately 1.5 miles north of the intersection with Highway 166. The work will take place on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The work will explore the makeup of the soil and is done when a new bridge is considered. The information will help guide staff in designing the bridge foundation.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the road will be closed to all traffic between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. at the bridge site. After 9:00 a.m., flaggers will run one-way traffic controls until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25 and between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, with anticipated delays of 15 minutes or less. Please refer to the map for location.
The bridge will be open outside of the 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. working hours.
